Opportunity Summary 

This internship is designed for creative students interested in marketing, storytelling, and content execution. Interns will help bring Idea House & Co.’s work to life by translating real client projects into engaging narratives for social media, email campaigns, and brand communication. The role focuses on creating content that highlights the journey behind new products, why they exist, the challenges solved, and the people behind the ideas. Students will learn how to plan and execute marketing campaigns, develop short-form and long-form content, and support brand-building initiatives across multiple platforms. This is a hands-on, mentorship-driven role ideal for students who enjoy writing, design, media production, and creative strategy. No engineering or technical background is required, just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to help shape how ideas are communicated to the world.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will learn how to develop and execute marketing content for real product development projects. They will gain skills in campaign planning, brand storytelling, social media content creation, email marketing, and translating complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives. Students will also learn how creative teams support client communication and how marketing integrates into the overall lifecycle of new product development. They will leave with portfolio-ready work and practical experience collaborating in a professional creative environment.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive structured onboarding to Idea House & Co.’s product development process, including how we scope projects, collaborate with clients, and translate project milestones into clear communication pieces. Training includes weekly mentorship with leadership, instruction on content planning, brand storytelling, and campaign execution across social media and email platforms. Students will learn how to turn real product development work into educational and engaging content. Ongoing feedback, shadowing opportunities, and step-by-step guidance are provided throughout the internship to support success.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

This opportunity involves standard office and digital content-creation tasks. Students will receive an orientation covering general workplace safety, proper equipment use, and safe practices for working around light prototyping tools that may be present in the workspace. Interns will not operate machinery or handle hazardous materials. The environment is low-risk, collaborative, and supervised, with all activities designed to ensure a safe and supportive experience.
