Opportunity Summary 

The Sales Associate (front desk) interacts daily with members, incoming inquiries from potential new clients, and provides excellent customer service that ties in with our Culture Blueprint everyday!

DUTIES

  • Check members and guests into club with enthusiasm and high-energy
  • Greet and connect with every guest and member in a positive and friendly manner
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all club guests
  • Professionally present company programs and products to guests and prospects
  • Implement sales process to book appointments and generate membership sales. This includes conducting sales follow up calls, texts, emails, etc.
  • Conduct studio tours with new guests while building rapport
  • Sell memberships, challenges, supplements, and apparel
  • Answer all incoming phone calls and obtain appropriate information or take messages
  • Data entry and inventory check/restocking
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the club
  • Help disinfect/sanitize equipment

Tasks:

The student will perform the following duties to demonstrate that learning outcomes have been achieved:

Greet members and guests, provide high-quality customer service, and represent the studio’s Culture Blueprint in all interactions.

Conduct studio tours for prospective members, explain programs and services, and build rapport to support the sales process.

Implement the studio’s sales process by booking appointments, completing follow-up calls, texts, and emails, and presenting membership options and promotional programs.

Assist in selling memberships, challenges, supplements, and apparel by applying product knowledge and effective communication skills.

Answer incoming phone calls, gather appropriate information, and professionally support members and new inquiries.

Complete accurate data entry, update member information, process sales transactions, and support administrative tasks required for studio operations.

Participate in weekly mentor meetings and apply feedback to improve performance in customer service, sales, and communication.

Monitor and manage inventory levels by conducting restocks and communicating needs to leadership.

Support studio cleanliness and organization standards, including sanitizing equipment and maintaining a welcoming environment for members.

Shadow staff and apply learned skills to independently perform front-desk operations, lead management processes, and customer engagement strategies.

Training:

The student will receive structured and progressive training throughout the internship to support their learning and ensure they can perform the responsibilities of the Sales Associate role effectively. Training will begin with a mandatory general employer orientation that introduces The Camp Transformation Center’s mission, Culture Blueprint, safety expectations, customer service standards, and daily operational procedures.

During the first week, the student will participate in job shadowing to observe experienced staff members in areas such as member check-in, conducting studio tours, sales conversations, lead follow-up, and front-desk operations. The student will be provided with training materials, including scripts, sales guides, Culture Blueprint documents, and examples of communication standards.

Throughout the internship, the student will have weekly one-on-one mentor meetings with their supervisor to review progress, ask questions, and receive coaching. Additional hands-on skills training will be offered in areas such as appointment booking, sales follow-up, data entry, phone handling, membership presentations, and product knowledge for supplements and apparel.

The student will receive contextual explanations of all assigned tasks to understand their purpose within the business. They will also complete practice scenarios and receive ongoing feedback to help them build confidence and competency before performing responsibilities independently.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to demonstrate core business skills by learning how to manage customer relationships, execute sales processes, handle administrative tasks, and support daily studio operations, gaining real-world experience in sales, communication, organization, and customer service within a fitness business environment.
