Tax InternAt — Windes
Our Firm’s internship provides students with exposure to the Tax department. The internship starts on January 5, 2026 and ends April 15, 2026 working 20-25 hours per week in our Irvine office. Interns get the opportunity to work alongside our staff in preparing tax returns for our clients. Interns also have the opportunity to participate in and exposure to areas such as: client service, research, technology, and administration. In addition, interns participate in several of the Firm’s social events and community-service projects.
Tasks:
1. Assist staff in preparing tax returns for clients.
2. Support client service, research, technology, and administrative activities as needed.
3. Participate in Firm social events and community-service projects.
TRaining:
The intern will have a full 1-2 weeks of training. The intern's first two days are dedicated for HR/IT purposes where they are set up with their technology, software, and payroll processes. Then, for about 1.5 weeks, they will have tax training. We have in-person and virtual trainings. They will also have 2 buddies that are their 'go to people' for the duration of their internship.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to
1. Develop practical tax-preparation skills by assisting staff with the preparation of client tax returns.
2. Gain broad professional exposure through participation in client service, research, technology, and administrative activities.
3. Build teamwork and community engagement by taking part in Firm social events and community-service projects.
