SLPA students must follow clinic safety procedures: know emergency exits, first aid, and who to contact. Maintain client confidentiality and always work under SLP supervision. Follow infection control by washing hands and disinfecting materials. Keep therapy areas clear to prevent falls. Maintain professional boundaries and report unsafe behaviors or accidents immediately. Use calm communication, follow behavior plans, and seek help if a client becomes unsafe. Document sessions accurately and follow all clinic protocols for safety, emergencies, and confidentiality.
