We are seeking an enthusiastic HR intern interested in learning administrative tasks and willing to help our team. You will be learning how to manage an efficient workflow. As well as assist management with tasks such as payroll, recruitment, hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and project planning for the team.
At Partnership Painting Inc, we put a lot of time and preparation into each project. No job is too big or too complex. For each job, we have a process and bring knowledge on how to handle almost any situation. With 40+ years of experience, we make sure the job gets done the right way.
Tasks:
Will learn how to review applications to find eligible candidates
Assist with managing job listings
Assist with creating interview questions and scheduling interviews
Assist with onboarding paper work
Input payroll information and manage timecards
Data entry for weekly reports
Participate in team meetings and add input
Manage performance reports on team and give feedback
Filing maintenance (paperwork and digital)
Assist with explaining benefits and expectations to employees (PTO, SICK, ATTENDANCE, PERFORMANCE REPORTS, RAISES, WAGES)
Assist with coordinating team building events
Prepare materials for team for each job of the week
Implementing workplace safety and ensuring it is maintained throughout all projects
Training:
Intern will be completing onboarding first and will be provided with further information on the position and company. This will be followed by orientation where they will watch training videos and be informed of policies and workflow. Following that they will be shadowing for their first week of training and have a team meeting to discuss any questions and provide feedback. The remainder of their internship they will perform hands-on tasks with the supervision of the reporting supervisor. Student will participate in weekly meetings with the reporting supervisor to discuss progress and performance.
Learning Outcome:
Will learn how HR functions and will be able to manage multiple employees in a fast paced work environment. Will gain practical experience in managing multiple administrative tasks such as payroll, employee records, managing job postings, recruitment, and hiring. Will develop strong communication skills through employee engagement. Develop stronger critical thinking skills to improve the quality of work and overall productivity of the company.
