Qualifications:
Educational background in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Education.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience working with children with special needs is not required, but preferred.
Able and willing to drive to clients in Orange County that are within a 15-mile radius from your residence.
Playful personality.
Must be willing to undergo background check.

Details of the position:
Part-time 8 to 30 hours per week.
Weekday afternoons/evenings, optional weekend mornings/afternoons.
Must be available Monday through Friday 2:00PM - 8:00PM; minimum of 3-days required.
Assignment locations are in Orange County area (15 miles radius from your residence).
Online and in the field paid training
Ongoing training and supervision.
1:1 direct therapy in the client's home and community settings.
Data collection, analysis, and session notes.
Be respectful of clients home, property, and culture.
Looking for in-home capable candidates. (Remote positions are not available at this time)
Compensation: $22.00-$26.00 hourly

Job Type: Part-time
Task:
Interns will be working directly with clients. During client sessions, they will be required to collect data, implement proactive strategies, and create opportunities for their clients to target their goals.
Training:
Each intern is required to go through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training. It is a 40-hour online training session where the intern will learn the practices and ethics of what it means to be an RBT. Upon completion, they will then be scheduled for orientation training, followed by 6 overlap sessions with more experienced RBTs.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to do the following: recognize and take data on challenging behaviors, implement different strategies to help clients meet their goals, and create opportunities for clients to engage in activities.
