Development & Partner Relations CoordinatorAt — Cure VCP Disease
I serve as Development lead at Cure VCP Disease, where I help coordinate the VCP Family Registry and manage nationwide biobank collections while serving as the primary liaison between our patient community and our various VCP research intiatives. My work facilitates specimen coordination across clinical and research sites, supports clinical care guideline development, and shapes our regulatory engagement strategies with the FDA and bio-pharma partners.
My primary goal is to understand how to make therapeutic development for rare disease populations both scientifically and economically viable. Through this internship, I aim to gain insight into the drug development pipeline from target identification through clinical trials, learn strategies for de-risking small-population therapeutics to attract investment, and explore innovative funding models that bridge the gap between patient advocacy and commercial development. I want to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to help rare disease communities build sustainable paths to treatment that overcome the traditional economic barriers facing orphan drug development.
