During the internship, interns will engage with Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) patients while navigating electronic health records, onboarding clients, developing treatment plans, and comprehending the client referral process.
- Maintains up-to-date clinical documentation through our electronic recordkeeping system.
- Consults with supervisors and staff as necessary.
- Provides screenings for incoming new patients and schedules initial assessments.
- Interacts with staff and fellow students in a professional and ethical manner.
- Engages in supervision and training with a willingness to learn and accept feedback.

Participates in group therapy by shadowing the facilitator and assisting with note-taking.
Provides weekly check-ins with patients.
Maintains the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 assessments biweekly and updates patient data accordingly.
Tasks:
Participates in group therapy by observing the facilitator and assisting with note-taking.
Conducts weekly check-ins with patients. Establishes treatment plan goals, completes onboarding paperwork, and manages concurrent or discharge paperwork and authorizations.
Maintains the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 assessments on a biweekly basis and updates patient data as necessary.
Provides screenings for new patients and schedules initial assessments, along with distributing intake paperwork.
Will join team meetings to collaborate on caseloads and receive feedback.
Training:
Clinical documentation training will include shadowing case managers during the onboarding process, authorization, charting, and discharge procedures.
Training on screening will be conducted in the office, along with a step-by-step template.
In-office training will be provided for HIPAA competency.
Weekly group supervision sessions with licensed professionals will be held for case consultation and skill enhancement.
Participation in in-service training and team meetings will cover therapies, documentation practices (EHRs), and cultural competency.
