River Valley High School - CTE Sports Medicine
Organization Description
The purpose of the Sports Medicine pathway is to introduce students to the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills used in athletic training, physical therapy, and exercise science. Students learn principles of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency response while developing an understanding of human anatomy and safe, ethical care for active individuals. The course also fosters communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. By the end, students are prepared for advanced CTE coursework, industry-aligned certifications, and future pathways in sports medicine and healthcare.
