Data entry of health maintenance records using industry software.

Assist with running activities to keep patients engaged.

Provide social worker related assistance to those who need to schedule appointments.

Provide translation services when needed.

Tasks:

- Enter daily flowsheets to document each participant's progress in meeting care plan interventions and goals in the various modalities our center offers, eg. Activities, Physical therapy.
- Perform the role of a Social Worker Aide in assisting participants with appointments, and to lend a hand to those who need emotional support.

Training:

Initial orientation.
Training of job specific tasks, including one-on-one mentoring and shadowing.
Weekly review of work completed and feedback provided.

Learning Outcome:

- understand the importance of assessing each participant's mental and physical needs on a regular basis and creating a plan of care to meet these needs.
- develop charting skills using industry software
- have a greater appreciation and understanding of the geriatric population.
