About the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation

The mission of the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation, the nonprofit organization of the Rose Bowl Stadium, is to preserve, protect and enhance the Rose Bowl Stadium's future within the Arroyo Seco by providing private funding in support of improvements within the venue and its surrounding areas through educational, community, and capital improvement initiatives.

With a national donor and prospect base, including community partners around the country, the Legacy Foundation has raised over $80 million of private and public support to ensure that America’s Stadium is protected for the next generation.

About the Rose Bowl Stadium

The Rose Bowl Stadium is a National Historic Landmark built in 1922 and known throughout the world with its world-class reputation for hosting the 1932 Olympic Track Cycling event, five NFL Super Bowl Games, the 1984 Olympic Soccer matches, the 1994 Men’s World Cup, the 1999 Women’s World Cup, four BCS National College Football Championship Games, and the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal and Semifinal Game. In 2028, the iconic venue will host the Olympic Games for a third time. The Rose Bowl is also known globally for hosting the annual Rose Bowl Game®, UCLA Football, international and Premier League soccer matches, and the World’s Largest Flea Market.

The Rose Bowl Stadium is one of the world’s greatest concert and festival venues, hosting world-class concerts including Coldplay, Karol G, the Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Jay-Z, and Kenny Chesney. Since 2016, Brookside Golf Course at the Rose Bowl has become a premier music festival venue hosting numerous annual events attracting hundreds of thousands of guests through the years.

Position Overview

The Legacy Operations & Development Intern will support the Legacy Foundation team in all aspects of nonprofit operations, donor stewardship, event support, and administrative coordination. This internship offers hands-on exposure to nonprofit fundraising, live-event logistics, donor relations, and community engagement at one of the most iconic venues in sports.

This role is ideal for students interested in sports philanthropy, nonprofit management, event operations, hospitality, or development.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist with donor database management, record-keeping, and benefit fulfillment
  • Support the Legacy Annual Fund efforts through outreach, preparation, and campaign coordination
  • Provide administrative support for donor correspondence, documentation, and financial processing
  • Help coordinate and promote the Rose Bowl Brick Campaign, including marketing and in-person outreach at stadium and community events
  • Serve as a Legacy ambassador during UCLA football games, major stadium events, and Rose Bowl Game activities
  • Support donor hospitality areas and premium guest experiences on event days
  • Assist in day-of-event logistics, signage, materials prep, and activation support
  • Cultivate positive relationships with donors, partners, and guests in premium seating and hospitality areas
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (Premium Seating, Corporate Partnerships, Community Relations, etc.)
  • Help supervise additional interns or volunteers as needed

Qualifications

  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
  • Interest in sports, events, nonprofit work, or community engagement
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods on event days
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to support a wide variety of tasks and jump in where needed
  • No photos or autograph-seeking while working Foundation events

Training:

Initial orientation about the Rose Bowl Operating Company and the Legacy Foundation. Weekly meetings with team leaders. Clear directions and instructions on work to be completed.
