What you’ll be doing: 

As a PCS intern, you will be working with the PCS team to learn the process of preparing financial statements and how to perform compilations and reviews.\u202fYou will also learn the preparation procedures of federal and state income tax returns.\u202f 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • Have the availability to work in a hybrid setting for 24 hours over 3 business days (Monday – Friday; 8:30 am – 5:30 pm) 

  • Live in commutable distance to your assigned office\u202f 

  • Work a minimum of 2-3 days per week in-person at your assigned office\u202f 

  • Ability to complete the entire Winter Internship Program starting on January 5, 2026

Basic Qualifications:\u202f 

  • Current Junior or Senior working on completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, or on track to complete 150 credits for CPA-eligibility  

  • 0-2 years recent public accounting experience\u202f  

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future\u202f 

\u202f Preferred/Desired Qualifications: 

  • 150-Date/Final Graduation of December 2026 through September 2027 

  • Strong academic track record (Minimum GPA: 3.0)\u202f  \u202f 

  • 0-2 years recent public accounting experience\u202f 

  • Strong MS Excel and MS Word\u202f\u202f 

  • Strong time management and organizational skills\u202f 

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and with a team\u202f 

  • Great communication, leadership, and analytical skills\u202f

Tasks:

1. Interns will be completing tax returns from start to finish, which will then be reviewed and approved by their mentor
2. Interns will shadow client meetings with their team to help gain a better understanding of their needs
3. Interns will gather and organize client documents, input data where applicable and provide status updates to their team

Training:

1. Week one will consist of a comprehensive orientation to help the student become acclimated to the firm, the internship expectations, their team and their peers.
2. Interns will have two mentors that will provide weekly check-ins to ensure they are staying on track
3.Client work assigned by our Resource Managers to give interns a chance to have a hands-on learning experience.
3. Continuous training modules to complete through EisnerAmper University in a variety of tax-related topics
4. Power-skills trainings sessions to improve skills in areas such as effective communication and asking for feedback
5. Bi-weekly Office Hours sessions with their recruiter to provide an open platform for any questions or concerns
6. Interns are also provided access to a vast offering of LinkedIn learning trainings that they are able to register for at their leisure

Learning OUtcome:

1. Prepare individual and basic business tax returns in compliance with federal and state tax regulations
2. Apply tax laws, regulations, and guidance to practical client situations
3. Utilize professional tax preparation software and supporting documentation
4. Analyze financial information to identify tax implications and opportunities
3. Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors and clients while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
