Graphic Designer Assistant for CEO/Creative DirectorAt — Orange County Designers
This is an in-house and remote, part-time, college-credit internship offering hands-on experience in B2B advertising, branding, and digital marketing. Interns will participate in creative brainstorming and assist with graphic design projects including logo design, business cards, flyers, banners, brochures, brand development, social media content creation, basic website updates, and marketing support for local businesses. Interns may also assist with preparing files for print, organizing projects, and learning how to communicate design strategy to clients. This role provides valuable real-world experience in a fast-paced creative and marketing environment.

Tasks:
Responsibilities include corporate logo and brand development, flyer and brochure design, coordination of full color printing projects, Google and Yelp local business marketing support, office branding and wall wrap design, large format signage and banner production, and assisting with strategic marketing planning and campaign execution.
Training:
Students will receive hands on training using industry standard design software, with guided instruction on placing visual elements to create strong calls to action and effective layouts. Training will also cover understanding brand guidelines and developing the appropriate corporate look and feel for different industries. Participants will have opportunities for job shadowing and attending client debriefings to observe real world design processes. Supervisors will provide direction on which design elements are most effective for each project and offer ongoing feedback throughout the internship to support skill development and learning goals.
Learning Outcome:
Students will develop hands-on proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications, gain a strong understanding of how color choices and design elements influence audience perception, learn how to properly prepare files for professional printing using templates, bleed, and CMYK color settings, and build confidence in communicating design decisions to clients by explaining the strategy and purpose behind each marketing layout.
