The TA will provide instructional and administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of PSYC 362, enhance student engagement, and promote academic success. Responsibilities will focus on assisting with lecture materials, facilitating online discussions, and supporting student learning through feedback and guidance.

• Facilitate student engagement through online discussions and in class activities

Training
The intern will be supervised through scheduled monthly Zoom meetings, regular communication via email or phone, review of work products, and monitoring of time logs. Supervision will also include clear task assignments, ongoing feedback and coaching, periodic check-ins on learning goals, and mid-term and end-of-term performance feedback. The instructor will provide oversight to ensure professional conduct, confidentiality, and alignment with course objectives and institutional standards.
Tasks/Duties
Progress toward the learning outcomes will be demonstrated as follows:
1. Apply psychology and aging related concepts to support instruction
- By accurately integrating course concepts into lecture materials, discussion facilitation, and supplemental resources.
2. Assist with the development and accessibility of course materials
- Through the preparation, revision, and formatting of slides and resources that meet course goals and CSUF accessibility standards.
3. Facilitate student engagement through online discussions and in class activities
- By monitoring discussion boards, posing follow-up questions, summarizing key themes, and supporting in class learning activities.
4. Provide ethical, constructive feedback on student work under instructor guidance
-Through timely, thoughtful feedback aligned with rubrics and instructor expectations, and by incorporating feedback on feedback provided.
5. Demonstrate professional communication, confidentiality, and effective use of instructional technologies
- By maintaining consistent, professional communication, adhering to confidentiality standards, and effectively using Canvas and related tools.
