Physical Therapy AideAt — OPTI

Preparing tables for treatment of patient injuries or surgeries. Cleaning tables and equipment, applying Hot packs, Cold packs, teaching or demonstrating exercises, filling out exercise flow sheets, laundry. Performing ultrasound treatments or applying electrical stimulation.

Task:

Duties were outlined above. To the degree the student can interact appropriately with the patient, carry the duties out in a timely manner and keep a watchful eye over safety, instruct exercises properly and fill out the flow sheet accurately, we will be able to evaluate their progress and effectiveness.

Training:

Real time shadowing /training with patients and Licensed physical therapist implementing treatment to various orthopedic injuries including the application of modalities, exercises, including precautions and safety training for each impairment.

Learning Outcome:

Assist the Licensed Physical Therapist in administering Physical Therapy modalities, exercises, cleaning tables and equipment, keeping steady flow of laundry and patient load flow with their programs. Keeping an accurate account of the patient's exercises.
