Create Profiles and Donor Groups Utilizing the CRM At — Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries

Opportunity Summary 

This service learning opportunity supports the Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries’ donor engagement and community outreach efforts through hands-on work within the organization’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

The student will utilize the CRM to generate reports, analyze donor address data, and segment supporters by geographic region. Using this information, the student will create donor groups aligned with their closest library branch and assist in developing organized donor profiles to strengthen localized communication and fundraising strategies across Monterey County.

Through this project, the student will gain practical experience in nonprofit development operations, data management, and strategic community engagement while directly contributing to the Foundation’s mission to support 17 public libraries.

 

Skills & Qualifications Needed

  • Basic proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, or CRM systems

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and reporting

  • Ability to analyze and organize information

  • Comfort working with addresses and geographic sorting

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Professional communication and confidentiality when handling donor information
