Overview
Join our Latina-owned jewelry & lifestyle brand to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing. The intern will assist with content creation, engagement, and campaign support while learning strategy, branding, and analytics.
Responsibilities

Help plan, create, and schedule content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms

Tasks:
The Social Media Intern will support day-to-day digital marketing efforts and complete hands-on projects that contribute to brand growth and online sales.
Duties include:
Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling content for Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
Research social media trends, hashtags, and SEO keywords relevant to fashion, jewelry, and Latina-owned brands
Draft captions, hooks, and calls-to-action that align with brand voice and increase engagement
Support the development and maintenance of a weekly and monthly content calendar
Assist with basic photo and video editing for social media posts, Reels, and TikToks
Monitor engagement (likes, comments, shares, saves) and report performance insights
Support influencer and brand collaborations, including outreach research and content tracking
Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages under supervision
Assist with campaign launches, product drops, and promotional content
Conduct competitor and industry research to identify content opportunities and best practices
Participate in brainstorming sessions for content ideas, storytelling, and brand messaging
Training:
To ensure the Social Media Intern achieves the outlined learning outcomes, the following training methods and support structures will be implemented:
Initial Orientation (Week 1):
A structured onboarding session introducing the intern to the brand mission, target audience, brand voice, visual identity, and social media platforms. This includes an overview of tools, workflows, and expectations.
Weekly Check-In Meetings (1x per week):
Scheduled meetings to review completed tasks, evaluate content performance, provide feedback, and set goals for the upcoming week. These meetings will focus on mentorship, skill development, and professional growth.
Content Planning & Collaboration Sessions (Bi-Weekly):
Collaborative brainstorming sessions to develop content ideas, campaigns, and storytelling strategies aligned with business objectives and current trends.
Hands-On Training & Shadowing (Ongoing):
Intern will learn through guided practice, observing content creation, scheduling, and analytics review, gradually taking on more responsibility as skills develop.
Performance Reviews & Feedback (Monthly):
Formal progress evaluations to assess learning outcomes, strengths, areas for improvement, and goal alignment. Constructive feedback and next-step skill building will be emphasized.
Consultations & Q&A Support (As Needed):
Ongoing access to mentorship through messaging or brief check-ins for questions related to tasks, tools, or professional development.
Final Project Review & Reflection (End of Internship):
Intern will complete and present a final content or campaign project demonstrating applied skills, followed by a reflective discussion on learning outcomes and career development.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the internship, the student will be able to:
Develop and execute social media content strategies aligned with brand voice, aesthetics, and business goals
Create engaging, on-brand content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms using current trends and SEO-driven keywords
Write compelling captions, hooks, and calls-to-action that drive engagement, traffic, and online sales
Plan, schedule, and manage content calendars using social media management tools
Analyze social media metrics and insights to evaluate performance and optimize future content
Understand influencer marketing strategies, including outreach, collaboration coordination, and content usage rights
Apply basic branding, storytelling, and visual merchandising principles for a product-based e-commerce business
Gain hands-on experience with small business marketing, audience growth, and community engagement
Communicate professionally within a creative team environment while meeting deadlines and campaign goals
