Opportunity Summary 

An internship at ADL touches on a few factors related to what is required of the internship course SOC 494. Specifically, ADL is a nonprofit organization that touches on important issues of Social Justice here in the local area. In regards to my duties, my work will be based on community outreach to local organizations and leaders and working on initiatives that relate to hate crime prevention and the implementation of educational programs on subjects of inequality.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

From this valuable experience, I hope to learn how law enforcement deals with issues of hate crimes, different approaches to community betterment, ways to implement social change and the processes of government at the local, state and federal level. Overall, I think this is a strong opportunity to contribute to issues of social justice here in local the community.
