Marketing InternAt — Boxing for Justice

Opportunity Summary 

Tasks:

  • Give administrative assistance to Director of Marketing 
  • Utilize our social media handles — Respond to messages, post, and engage with comments 
  • Capture and post behind-the-scenes content during video/photo shoots and client events (iPhone quality is fine)
  • Track insights and analytics to identify what’s working and what can improve.
  • Collaborate and brain storm marketing campaigns with Director of Marketing
  • Drive awareness through outreach, speaking with fighters, marketing campaigns, and relationship-building.
  • Table at college campuses during career fairs
  • Attend meetings with Leadership (Zoom/In person) and fight events
  • Apply marketing principles while supporting the Director of Marketing in the planning, coordination, and execution of outreach and promotional initiatives.
  • Develop and organize marketing content and assist in scheduling materials across appropriate digital platforms.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of marketing campaigns for live events and community engagement.
  • Analyze engagement and performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and inform future initiatives.
  • Participate in weekly one-on-one supervisory meetings to reflect on progress, receive feedback, and support professional development.
  • Collaborate in strategic planning discussions through shared digital tools and structured Zoom meetings.
  • Support event-based marketing activities by documenting, organizing, and assisting with post-event promotional follow-up.

Training:

  • Structured onboarding introducing the organization’s mission, operational structure, and internship expectations.
  • Weekly one-on-one meetings providing ongoing supervision, feedback, and guided professional development.
  • Instruction in applied marketing concepts, including content development, outreach strategies, and event-based promotion.
  • Training on professional tools such as shared project management systems and temporary corporate email accounts.
  • Participation in scheduled Zoom meetings to support collaboration and applied learning.
  • Experiential learning through supervised, real-world marketing tasks with access to guidance as needed
