Opportunity Summary
- Open and organize the client's criminal file for the attorney
- Create and maintain the calendar of the defendants court appearances for the attorneys calendar
- Email update letters to the client advising the client of new court dates as they are created based on the last court appearance completed by the attorney
- Field telephonic questions from criminal clients regarding the status of their case
- schedule hearings with the DMV when our clients are accused of drunk driving
- Review police reports to ensure that redacted portions are completely redacted and then email those documents to the clients for review
- Schedule office appointments for the clients to meet with the attorney in review the police reports that were provided by the District Attorney's Office in discovery and create office appointments to discuss the status of negotiations between the attorney and the prosecutor
- Generate probation letters describing all actions that the defendant must take in order to comply with the terms of their probation and I email these summary letters to the client along with a copy of the probation order generated by the court clerk after sentence imposed by the judge
- Assist the attorney with any preliminary witness interviews and information gathering it is necessary in order for the attorney to complete defense investigation on the case
