The dental assistant intern will become familiar with the dental office including patient treatment, sterilization, and front office procedures. The supervisor will promote learning through demonstration of diagnosis on radiographs. 

Tasks:

Taking dental radiographs
Assisting in treating dental patients
Learning insurance building

Training:

The intern will have specific job shadowing and skills training with the supervising dentist.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the internship the student will be able to take radiographs, sterilize instruments, and set up operatories.
