The Post-Production & Distribution Intern will support Picture 1 Productions’ post-production, delivery, and marketing efforts by assisting with project coordination, digital asset management, distribution preparation, and promotional strategy. The role focuses on organizing deliverables, preparing content for multiple platforms, supporting release workflows, and collaborating with the team to ensure projects move efficiently from post-production through distribution and audience engagement. This position provides hands-on experience in film and media operations beyond editing, with exposure to real-world release, marketing, and content strategy processes.
Tasks:
- Organize and manage post-production assets, exports, and deliverables
- Prepare final files for distribution across digital and streaming platforms
- Assist with formatting, compression, and quality control of media for various outputs
- Coordinate project timelines and track deliverables for releases
- Support marketing initiatives including trailers, social clips, and promotional materials
- Assist with metadata entry, upload processes, and platform requirements
- Maintain organized digital libraries and archival systems
- Conduct research on distribution channels, audiences, and release strategies
- Collaborate with the team on branding, outreach, and promotional campaigns
- Provide general post-production and operations support as needed
Training:
The student will receive training in Picture 1 Productions’ post-production and distribution workflows, including delivery standards, media management systems, and digital release processes. Mentorship will include hands-on guidance in asset preparation, marketing coordination, and distribution strategy. The intern will participate in planning meetings, receive weekly feedback, and gain practical experience in the business and operational side of film production.
