Pre Med Student InternshipAt — Laguna Woods Rehabilitation Center

The pre med student internship position is designed for an undergraduate student looking to gain experience in the medical field. The student will be exposed to services such as massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic and family medicine. 

Tasks:

Tasks for this position includes taking patient vitals and weight, scribing for the physician on site, taking payments, filing paperwork, making appointments and answering phone calls.

Training:

Training for this position includes an orientation, job shadowing , training of medical devices and a workshop on how to interact with patients.

Learning Outcome:

By the end of the academic internship , the student will be able to work with health professionals, gain experience and confidence working directly with patients and getting exposed to the environment of a medical office.
