As a CSUSM Corporation Intern you will be part of a 12 week program within a the auxiliary services of . This program is designed to identify future leaders of University Auxiliary Services. The program will be project-based within the scope of Auxiliary Services. Example projects could include researching business opportunities, completing a case study, recommending adoption and launching initiatives.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Position Description: As a CSUSM Corporation Intern you will be part of a 12 week program within a the auxiliary services of . This program is designed to identify future leaders of University Auxiliary Services. The program will be project-based within the scope of Auxiliary Services which include, but are not limited to Commercial Services, Campus Housing, Sponsored Projects, Human Resources, Business and Financial Affairs, Procurement Contracts and Risk Management, and Capital Projects Facilities and Operations Management. The developmental internship program will offer valuable auxiliary industry and functional insight. Incumbent will have the opportunity to have a mentor and learn from senior leadership at the corporation. Example projects could include researching business opportunities, completing a case study, recommending adoption and launching initiatives. Responsibilities: • Participating on cross function teams • Assisting with the Corporation’s long term vision and planning process • Evaluating current initiatives and brand performance and develop plans for improvement • Assessing all aspects of competitor’s brands to design and recommend strategies to compete more effectively Qualifications/Characteristics: • Must be currently enrolled as at CSUSM • Superior leadership abilities • Excellent work ethic and can work for periods of time without direct supervision • Strong business acumen, communication and interpersonal skills • Highly motivated to achieve desired goals and objectives • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems. • Must also be able to work effectively in a team environment, and ability to handle multiple tasks with ease. • Must be detail and results oriented with a proven track record of success. • Must be punctual, reliable and respectful.
