Position Overview

We’re looking for a creative, motivated Video Production Intern to join the Theory25 team. This internship is hands-on and fast-paced, perfect for someone who wants real-world experience shooting, editing, and producing content for social media, campaigns, and live events.

You’ll assist in all phases of production, from pre-production planning to filming, editing, and content delivery. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate pursuing film, media, communications, marketing, or a related field.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with video shoots for brand content, social media, events, and campaigns

• Help set up equipment (cameras, lighting, audio, tripods, etc.)

• Capture behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and short-form content

• Edit video content for social platforms (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, YouTube, etc.)

• Organize footage, label files, and help manage the content library

• Support pre-production tasks such as shot lists, storyboards, and schedules

• Collaborate with the creative and social media team on concepts and ideas

• Occasionally assist with photography and basic graphic/video animations (if skilled)

What We’re Looking For

• Passion for video production, storytelling, and social media content

• Basic knowledge of video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, etc.)

• Familiarity with cameras and basic production equipment is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and organization

• Ability to take direction and work both independently and on a team

• Willingness to learn, try new things, and jump in where needed

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

Tasks:

Assist with pre-production planning, including creative brainstorming, shot lists, call sheets, scheduling support, and equipment preparation
Participate in on-site video production, including camera, lighting, and audio setup/breakdown
Support and assist during shoots, following professional on-set procedures and safety protocols
Capture b-roll, interviews, behind-the-scenes, and social-first content
Perform post-production work, including reviewing footage, organizing files, editing video content, adding basic graphics/captions, and exporting deliverables
Prepare content for social media, digital campaigns, and client presentations
Assist with content management, including file naming, archiving, and version control
Participate in creative reviews, feedback sessions, and revision cycles
Contribute ideas to campaign concepts, storytelling, and visual development
Support execution of real client projects, events, and branded productions

Training:

Students will receive an initial general agency orientation covering Theory25’s workflows, expectations, and production process. Training will include job shadowing and hands-on instruction during video shoots and editing projects. Interns will also have weekly mentor check-ins for feedback and skill development, along with ongoing guidance and examples for all assigned tasks.
