Opportunity Summary 

Campfire Studios is an Emmy-winning film/tv production company and the creative force behind Netflix's UNKNOWN NUMBER: THE HIGH SCHOOL CATFISH, THE MENENDEZ BROTHERS, PLAYERS starring Gina Rodriguez, Damon Wayans Jr, and Tom Ellis, HBO Max's THE WAY DOWN: GOD, GREED, & THE CULT OF GWEN SHAMBLIN, HEAVEN'S GATE: THE CULT OF CULTS, & Hulu's WEWORK: OR THE MAKING AND BREAKING OF A $47 BILLION UNICORN. And we're looking for interns!

We are currently hiring motivated self-starters to join Campfire for our Fall 2025 program and as an intern here you'll be exposed to the entire cycle of production while assisting our team. We have a ton of projects on our slate that range from Hulu docu-series to Netflix movies, so you will be an integral part of a busy office. We're looking for detail-oriented applicants with a strong work ethic and a passion for film, television, and all things media. 

Day-to-day activities include helping with shoot prep & wrap, research for current projects, transcriptions, runs, and various other production tasks.

This is an unpaid position and must be taken for school credit. The exact start and end dates of the internship are flexible and can match your school quarter/semester schedule. A laptop, car, and proof of vaccination are required. Our dog-friendly headquarters is in Santa Monica, CA and candidates must be able to work in the office. All of Campfire's employees are double vaccinated & boosted and comply with CDC health and safety guidelines. Schedule and hours are flexible and can be determined based on availability, but candidates must be able to commit a minimum of 15 hours/week to the internship.

Task:

Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to helping with shoot prep, shoot wrap, location and crew research, story research, production management accounting, helping archival, and going on runs.

Training:

The students will participate in a beginning orientation, weekly production meetings, optional one on one meetings with our executive staff, attend department seminars, and work closely with our production team.

Learning outcome:

Learn the ins and outs of prepping and wrapping a documentary shoot, work with archival, get hands on production management accounting experience, and work closely with our production department.
