After School Program InternAt — KinderCare City of Industry

Provides a structured, engaging and safe learning environment for children.  Provide assistance with homework and curriculum while in their care.   

Tasks:

Under supervision, assist teachers in classroom with implementing curriculum. 
Keeping children safe at all times
To be consistently engaging with children
Create and maintain healthy relationships with staff, children and families
Contribute to the curriclum planning

Training:

3 day onboarding experience which includes virtual training.
Weekly check in and progress checks.
SET observation which goes over healthy relationships with families, professionalism, Educational Excellence and Safety
Professional Development Day
Shadowing a tenure teacher

Learning Outcome

By the end of the internship the student will be able to create a curriculum lesson plan, be confident with implementing said lesson plan into the classroom, learn proper approaches to meaningful conversations with students.
