Physical Therapy Aide InternAt — Aliso Viejo Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine

Assist Physical Therapists with patient care, including exercise administration and modality application. 

Tasks:

Exercise administration
Modality application
EMR data entry
Room and table preparation

Training:

General employer orientation, weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings, job shadowing, workshops/skills training, provision of work samples, overview/contextualization of assigned tasks, training literature reviews and testing.

Learning Outcome:

1. Demonstrate consistent accuracy of safe medical exercise progression for a variety of diagnoses.
2. Understand the rationale for and proper application of medical modalities to assist in the healing of musculoskeletal injuries.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in the multitasking and efficient management of multiple patients present for appointments.
