Opportunity Summary 

The student will learn NodeJS, ReactJS, HTML, CSS as well as Python to program software solutions to be integrated into HQE Systems' tech stack. More specifically their first project will be integrating a cutting edge fire prediction model into a publicly available visual panel to inform users of our emergency technologies on decreasing fire risks.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will learn frontend and backend programming with NodeJS, ReactJS, HTML, CSS as well as Python. HQE also frequently works with may be related to embedded systems (Arduino, RaspberryPi, Nvidia Jetson Nano, and ESP products). Lastly we are working towards incorporating AI solutions into our products to improve disaster prediction and prevention.

Opportunity Training 

Online resources such as Scrimba and Youtube tutorials. Hands on work with prototype projects, embedded systems, AI workflows, cloud computing with AWS and Linode, Web development with NodeJS, ReactJS, HTML and CSS

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Student may on occasion handle soldering or electronics which will require insulated gloves to be worn
