Youth Mentor / Program AssistantAt — San Diego County Sheriff - RESPECT Project
RESPECT Project is an innovative youth outreach program coordinated by the San Diego Sheriff's Office with support from Lifeline Community Services. Join a team of Sheriff's deputies and detectives to mentor high school students and offer tangible opportunities for success.
As a youth mentor, students will gain valuable experience working with and supporting high school students. The RESPECT academy is a structured 15-week program offering fitness, nutrition, classroom discussions, decision-making classes, and special activities. Students will learn about best mentoring practices, alternative programs within the juvenile justice system, and various practices within the social work industry.
Students will attend a 2-hour in-person training and orientation to discuss the RESPECT Project including policies, expectations, and guidelines.
Applicants are required to complete a written application, in-person interview, and a Sheriff's background check
