Assistant Distribution InternAt — Quick Produce LLC
The Assistant Distribution Intern supports food distribution operations for Quick Produce LLC, working under direct supervision to assist with coordinating deliveries to restaurants, food banks, and local community organizations in Orange County and Los Angeles. The intern gains hands-on experience in logistics coordination, community engagement, and service delivery and community support. Responsibilities include assisting with distribution planning, communicating with partner organizations, supporting delivery operations, and documenting activities in a professional setting.
Tasks:
Assist in coordinating food distribution schedules with restaurants, food banks, and local community organizations.
Support inventory organization and preparation of food supplies prior to distribution.
Participate in supervised food distribution and delivery operations to partner sites.
Communicate professionally with community partners regarding delivery timing, needs, and follow-up.
Assist with documenting distribution activities and community impact for internal records.
Observe and reflect on how distribution services support human services objectives and community needs.
Training:
The student will receive an initial general employer orientation covering organizational goals, workplace expectations, safety procedures, and professional conduct. During the first phase of the internship, the student will participate in job shadowing to observe distribution planning, coordination, and community interactions. Ongoing hands-on training will be provided for logistics coordination, communication with partner organizations, and documentation practices. The supervisor will conduct scheduled weekly one-on-one meetings to review progress, provide feedback, and connect daily tasks to academic learning outcomes. Continuous supervision and mentoring will be provided throughout all internship activities.
