Case Manager (Social Work Intern)At — Thaddeus Resource Center
The Case Manager Intern serves as a connector between clients and community resources, coordinating care and support services for individuals with specific needs. They assess client situations, help develop personalized care plans, and ensure follow-through by maintaining weekly communication with clients, school staff, church staff, and service partners to provide comprehensive support.
Interns will gain extensive experience in rapport building, goal setting, crisis intervention, and resource finding, in a 1-on-1 setting, providing case management to clients. Intern will learn to conduct interviews with clients requesting counseling services, learn to complete client intake and assessment, and develop competence in basic skills of community outreach and psychoeducation. At the end of this learning experience, the intern will have a better understanding of the process of reporting and identifying incidents of child abuse and neglect.
All students participate in an orientation, receive department-based training guided by a buddy, benefit from mentorship with a professional, and attend any additional trainings offered during weekly meetings.
