Opportunity Summary 

The student will be oriented and then trained in activities related to support activities in the clinic which may include but not be limited to: front desk duties, modality training, clinical assistance (equipment, exercise), cleaning and duties associated with open/close of clinic space.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

This introductory role is to have exposure in the profession of physical therapy and to engage in patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. This internship will include learning about the role of the PT and applying knowledge from core coursework (ie anatomy, biology, etc) with the goal to apply for PT school.

Opportunity Training 

Orientation will cover all aspects of the role and the student will be incrementally involved in more of the patient care aspects of the clinic over time.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Training will include review of safety and emergency response plans for the clinic
