Opportunity Summary 

We offer programs that require volunteer support across various areas, including: Annual Empowerment Conference - Our annual signature weekend event includes speakers, group sessions, and creative workshops that build confidence and inspire connection. Discovery Workshops - Hands-on, themed sessions introduce girls to new skills and ideas. Topics include dance, STEM, civic engagement, and art. And we have various committees that require volunteer support across various functions, including: Marketing (includes social media), Community Engagement, and Fundraising.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will be coached/mentored by professionals from various disciplines (teaching, technology, marketing, human resources, etc) that all come together to serve this non-profit because off their passion for empowering middle-school girls. The students will learn about running a non-profit, in general, and will learn from all of the various subject matter experts that volunteer their time wit the organiation.

Opportunity Training 

The specific volunteer role will determine the type of training required. It may vary from a one on one training with a board member, volunteer coordinator or a committee lead, to a more formal group training activity.
