Intern - PreschoolAt — Catalyst Kids Lindbergh
Under the supervisor of the lead teacher, the intern will have the opportunity to engage with children ages 3-5. In this hands-on experience, intern will have the opportunity to learn about preschool overall development and behavior. intern will also get a deeper understanding of preschool curriculum and have the opportunity to plan, prepare and lead engaging activities.
Lastly, intern will develop observation skills and practice writing anecdotal notes, contributing to the accurate completion of children's assessments (DRDP).
Tasks:
Hands-on work in the classroom, shadowing and supporting the teaching team.
Participate in the planning and implementation of preschool curriculum.
Support the preparation/writing of monthly family communication forms.
Engage in reflections during supervision meetings.
Training:
Intern will receive general employee orientation, weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings, job shadowing, workshops/skills training as needed to develop skills in this position, and overview of assigned/expected tasks to be performed.
