InternAt — Dream Center Lake Elsinore

Opportunity Summary 

An opportunity to serve alongside the staff and volunteers of the Dream Center Lake Elsinore at our Food Pantry and Adopt-A-Block programs. Interns will see the needs in our community and learn how to respond to those needs in compassionate & helpful ways. Everything we do is a means to build relationship so you'll learn how to interact well with those around you.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

How to help people who are struggling to find resources and get connected to a healthy community. The ability to come alongside those who are hurting and talk with them. The opportunity to learn from others who have been serving in their community for a long time.

Opportunity Training 

Orientation provided and training for the different tasks that are required. No mandated reporter training needed.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

 POPULATION SERVED: Students may be working with minors, elderly, behaviorally challenged populations or individuals who have a known criminal background or history of violent behavior.

POPULATION SERVED: 

Student will never be alone with someone in the population served, however, we are serving a vulnerable population that's experiencing poverty, abuse, addiction, and more. Many we serve do have criminal histories as well. Students will always be serving alongside our staff and leaders.
