Physical Therapy AideAt — CPRx Inc

Responsibilities include:

*Assists the physical therapist by instructing patients in exercises, issuing handouts for their home programs, scheduling appointments, answering phones, assisting the front office with various tasks such as insurance verification as needed, and supply ordering. 

Tasks:

Improving knowledge base of anatomy and movement mechanics with ability to instruct in exercises as directed by a primary PT

Training:

Initial training includes job shadowing until able to demonstrate competence in job tasks. Primarily on the job training with reference material used to study terms that may be unfamiliar. We have monthly staff meetings and I check up with student at the end of each week

Learning Outcomes:

The intern will demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes by performing the following tasks:
*Educate patients/family members in exercise performance and techniques
*Have a basic understanding of posture and mechanics with simulated daily activities
*Have exposure to the field of physical therapy in an out-patient orthopedic setting
