SVL Investment Management (a Registered Investment Adviser) is a global research-oriented investment advisory firm providing investment management services to profit sharing plans, pension funds, individual accounts, financial advisory firms, and trusts.

Responsibilities:

Providing financial calculations for financial reports

Providing Economic & Financial research for portfolio managers

Requires demonstrated ability to perform in a PC environment including the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Providing assistance to office manager

Time of Working:

• Must be available to work for at least 1 year starting April 15, 2026

• Working hours: Flexible, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00am-2pm

Qualifications:

• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics
• Must be exceptionally good in calculations, organized and can multi-task.
• Excellent communication and reading skills and attention to details
• US Citizen/Permanent US Resident. International Students must have university permits to work as business internship)

Training:

The student will receive:
1) General Orientation
2) One-on-One mentor meetings
3) Training on Microsoft Office systems (Specifically Excel)
4) Training on How to Collect Data for Economic Research
5) Training on Executing Trades

Learning Outcome:

This position is good for students who want to improve their knowledge of financial & investment management.
By the end of the internship, the student will be able to show proficiency in Microsoft Office, understand the financial market, executing trades for clients, understanding economic terms, and basic investment approaches.
