Respiratory Equipment InternAt — Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center

Assemble respiratory equipment. Assemble circuits for ventilators, bipaps, HFNC plus other oxygen set ups.

Tasks:

Tatyana will be working with our equipment technicians on proper cleaning and disinfection respiratory therapy equipment following proper hospital guidelines/ protocols. In addition to this, she will be learning how to set up our HiFlow NC,  Bipaps, ventilators and other oxygen set ups we have. This equipment needs to be properly set up and pre-used checked prior to being placed on patients.

Training:

One on one training with equipment technicians.

Learning Outcome:

Tatyana will learn the importance of proper infection control and equipment set ups for patient use. Taking short cuts may cause harm to patients. She will also learn teamwork with fellow co-workers.
