Infant/toddler Teacher InternAt — Orange County Head Start - Andrews Head Start

Working as part of a team of professionals in an Early Head Start center a Teacher is responsible and accountable for overseeing the classroom environment and teaching children including preparation, instruction, evaluation, home visits, and parent conferences regarding children’s goals and progress toward school readiness and success in life.

Tasks:

Tasks will include classroom management, write anecdotal observations, and develop lesson plans based on the reflections for the observations.

Training:

Orientation to OCHS Service Area Plans, Policies and Procedures.
Weekly 30 minute one on one meetings with Center Director
Feedback will be provided regarding goals, performance and expectations.

Learning Outcome:

Plan and implement lesson plans
Write anecdotal observations
Work cooperatively with co-teachers and assistants in managing an Early Head Start program
