Futures start here. Where first steps, new friendships, and confident learners are born. At KinderCare Learning Companies, the first and only early childhood education provider recognized with the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, we offer a variety of early education and child care options for families. Whether it’s KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, or Crème de la Crème, we build confidence for kids, families, and the future we share. And we want you to join us in shaping it—in neighborhoods, at work, and in schools nationwide.

- Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
- Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
Tasks:
The intern will support the daily operation of the classroom by working collaboratively with other teachers to provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. Teachers will lead classrooms with a 1:10 teacher-to-student ratio, ensuring appropriate supervision and support for all children.
Responsibilities will include collaborating with co-teachers to plan and lead classroom activities, implementing the program curriculum, and creating weekly lesson plans that align with learning objectives and support children’s developmental needs. The intern will also assist with facilitating transitions, guiding student behavior using positive strategies, and supporting students during structured activities, play, and daily routines.
In addition, the intern will contribute to maintaining an organized classroom environment, communicating with team members, and helping ensure that program expectations and safety standards are consistently followed.
Training:
The intern will receive ongoing training and support throughout their placement to help them develop the skills necessary to be successful in the role. Training will include new hire orientation and a structured First 100 Days training program designed to introduce core expectations, policies, and teaching practices. The intern will also participate in monthly one-on-one touch base meetings with the Site Director to discuss progress, receive feedback, and set professional goals. In addition, the intern will attend monthly team meetings with all teachers to collaborate, share ideas, and stay aligned with program goals.
Throughout their employment, the intern will have access to developmental trainings and occasional professional development days focused on curriculum implementation, classroom management, child development, and best practices in early childhood education. These opportunities are intended to support continuous learning, strengthen teaching skills, and encourage professional growth within the program.
