Opportunity Summary

About the Role

This unpaid Business Administration Internship is ideal for students seeking practical operational experience for academic credit. You’ll work closely with the founders to support real business functions, not administrative busywork.
This is a part-time internship requiring a commitment of approximately 20–30 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible but consistent availability is expected.

What You’ll Do

Assist with day-to-day business operations and internal workflows
Assist with scheduling, documentation, and coordination
Help organize files, trackers, and internal systems
Support cross-functional projects (marketing, partnerships, events)
Conduct light research and assist with process improvement

Tasks:

The intern will perform professional and pre-professional duties that support core business operations, coordination, and internal systems. These tasks are designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in a startup environment and allow the student to demonstrate the achievement of stated learning outcomes.
Duties will include: • Supporting day-to-day business operations, including scheduling, coordination, and administrative workflows • Assisting with calendar management, meeting coordination, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-through • Organizing and maintaining internal files, trackers, and shared systems using Google Workspace and other operational tools • Supporting cross-functional projects involving marketing, partnerships, and events, including coordination, preparation, and follow-up tasks • Assisting with event-related logistics and planning, such as timelines, task lists, coordination with internal teams, and documentation • Conducting light research related to operations, tools, vendors, or best practices and summarizing findings for internal use • Assisting with process improvement initiatives, including identifying inefficiencies, documenting workflows, and proposing improvements • Communicating professionally with internal team members and stakeholders through written updates, documentation, and coordination messages • Supporting the preparation of reports, summaries, and trackers that contribute to operational visibility and decision-making
The majority of these duties are professional or pre-professional in nature, requiring critical thinking, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills consistent with college-level business administration, management, or operations coursework.

Training:

Students will receive structured training designed to support their learning outcomes and professional development throughout the placement. Training will include an initial general employer orientation, where students are introduced to the organization’s mission, culture, workflows, tools, and expectations.

Students will receive overview and contextualization of assigned tasks, including explanations of how their work supports business operations, events, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination. Job shadowing will be incorporated to allow students to observe day-to-day operational workflows and gain hands-on exposure to real business processes.

The placement will include regular check-ins and scheduled one-on-one meetings with a mentor or supervisor to review progress, provide feedback, and support skill development. Students will be given access to training materials, documentation, and work samples, and will receive guidance on using tools such as Google Workspace and internal tracking systems.

Additional training may include skills-based learning related to scheduling, documentation, coordination, and process improvement, as well as light research assignments to build analytical and organizational skills. Ongoing feedback and practical application will ensure students are able to progressively take on more responsibility as their competencies grow.
