Program Information The Los Angeles City Tourism Department (CTD) is responsible for tourism policy, strategic planning for tourism and oversight of external partnerships for the purpose of increasing the competitiveness of Los Angeles as a convention and tourist destination. CTD helps the City maximize the economic benefits derived from out-of-town visitors whose spending contributes to the growth of the local economy.\r\n\r\nCTD oversees two important public-private partnerships \u2013 one with the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board for destination marketing and the other with Legends Global for management of the Convention Center.
