Manage-ment Summer InternshipAt — Manage-ment
Students can participate virtually, but will receive hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of a top tier management company spanning across film, tv, and theater. Students will gain experience working alongside partners and assistants alike with duties including: script coverage, research tasks, project pitching, administrative tasks, phone coverage, and Q&A’s with industry professionals such as clients, executives, lawyers, etc. Clients have worked on and created projects such as JOJO RABBIT, MOONLIGHT, MAD MEN, WATCHMEN, RESERVATION DOGS, THE AMERICANS, WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, NARCOS, THE DIPLOMAT and JULIA.
Tasks:
Students will be doing script coverage, pitching ideas based on the assignment for that week, be privy to Q&As with industry professionals, will be allowed to shadow assistants, and may have the opportunity to cover for assistants as well and get more hands-on experience.
Training:
Students will be provided with templates for their assignments, they may request one-on-one meetings with their supervisor or managers on the team, and they will be given a general orientation at first.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to pitch original ideas to industry professionals, provide comprehensive script coverage, and apply their industry knowledge to their field.
