Student Engagement Specialist InternAt — CSUSM Psychology Department

Opportunity Summary 

The Student Engagement Specialist Intern will support the department of Psychology and Child and Adolescent Development by increasing visibility, promoting academic programs, and enhancing student engagement. This role offers hands-on experience in marketing, communication, and higher education administration. We are seeking a motivated, creative, and organized student who enjoys digital creating, collaborating, and professional growth. This role is ideal for students who are majoring in and/or interested in communications, marketing, media, psychology, or related fields. Key Responsibilities • Capture, edit, and publish promotional and short-form content • Manage and contribute to social media platforms for department • Spotlight faculty and student achievements and profiles • Develop flyers, posters, and digital marketing materials • Attend events and assist with outreach efforts • Analyze engagement metrics and provide feedback • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students • Perform additional duties supporting departmental goals
