Opportunity Summary 

The Site Program Manager (SPM) is the on-site leader of a Think Together educational program conducted on a partner-school campus. The SPM oversees all aspects of the state-wide recognized after school program ensuring it meets educational and recreational requirements, operates safely and efficiently, and functions in accordance with policies and operational procedures. The SPM is responsible for student safety and site operations. Must ensure program quality to provide a positive student experience. Responsible to foster positive partner relationships through effective communication both internally and externally while aligning with school day to uphold program satisfaction. The SPM is responsible for meeting and maintaining the Average Daily Attendance (ADA) the site is funded/contracted for. This role requires an individual who can manage multiple components and funding streams and be available at varying times including, but not limited to, before school, after school, non-instructional days, and weekends. (Saturdays, summer, and winter)

The SPM supervises all Think Together Program staff and volunteers who work on site, ensures all administrative and documentation requirements are met, and is the primary contact and liaison between Think Together and students, parents, school administration, donors, visitors, and other collaborators.
The SPM ensures compliance with all the terms of the agreement between Think Together and the school district and manages adherence to program requirements established by the program model and any funding stipulations. The SPM position has two (2) job level roles as noted in the matrix below. The role qualifiers are differentiator attributes that guide job level titles per SPM and are general, not finite. (For example, numbers below are approximate, not explicit). Level 1 may perform role at dual sites.

Tasks;

Monitor & Improve Attendance (ADA):
Track attendance data, identify trends, and implement targeted strategies to improve student participation and meet contractual attendance goals.
Ensure Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate program records (attendance, incident reports, schedules) and ensure adherence to grant requirements (ASES/ELOP) and organizational standards.
Analyze Data & Report Outcomes:
Use data systems to generate reports, evaluate program effectiveness, and present findings/recommendations to leadership or school partners.
Coordinate with School & Community Partners:
Serve as a liaison by communicating regularly with school administration, teachers, and families to align programming and address needs.
Design & Implement Enrichment Activities:
Support the development and execution of engaging academic and enrichment programming that promotes student learning and social-emotional growth.
Manage Administrative & Operational Functions:
Assist with scheduling, supply management, staff timekeeping oversight, and daily logistics to ensure smooth program operations.

Training:

Initial General Employer Orientation (Mandatory):
Introduction to Think Together’s mission, organizational structure, policies and procedures, safety protocols, and expectations of the Site Program Manager (SPM) role.
Weekly Scheduled One-on-One Mentor Meetings:
Ongoing coaching sessions with a supervisor or mentor to review progress, discuss challenges, set goals, and provide individualized feedback and professional guidance.
Job Shadowing:
Structured observation of experienced Site Program Managers and leadership staff to gain insight into daily operations, staff supervision, partner interactions, and program implementation.
Workshops / Skills Training:
Participation in targeted professional development sessions such as:
Classroom and behavior management strategies
Youth development and engagement techniques
Social-emotional learning (SEL) practices
Leadership and team management:
Compliance and safety procedures
Data systems training (e.g., attendance tracking, reporting tools)
Provision of Work Samples:
Access to and review of real program documents (e.g., lesson plans, schedules, compliance logs, parent communication templates, ADA tracking tools) to support practical learning and application.
Overview / Contextualization of Assigned Tasks
Clear explanation of how assigned responsibilities connect to broader program goals, funding requirements, and organizational priorities to ensure meaningful and informed task execution.
Training Literature Reviews and Testing:
Review of relevant materials (e.g., program guidelines, grant requirements, instructional strategies) with opportunities for knowledge checks, reflections, or assessments to reinforce learning.

Learning Outcome:

Leadership & Program Management:
Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage a comprehensive expanded learning program, including planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of daily operations. Apply leadership strategies to effectively supervise, coach, and support diverse staff and volunteers in a school-based setting. Analyze program operations and implement solutions that improve efficiency, safety, and overall program quality.
Student Development & Program Quality:
Design and support engaging academic and enrichment activities that align with school-day learning objectives and promote positive youth development. Evaluate program effectiveness using feedback, observation, and performance metrics to enhance student experience and outcomes. Apply principles of social-emotional learning and youth engagement to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management:
Interpret and apply state, district, and organizational policies to ensure program compliance with funding requirements (e.g., ASES/ELOP).
Demonstrate knowledge of student safety protocols, including supervision, emergency procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting practices aligned with audit and compliance standards.
Data Analysis & Accountability (ADA Focus):
Monitor and analyze attendance data (ADA) to ensure alignment with funding requirements and program goals. Develop and implement strategies to improve student attendance and participation. Utilize data systems (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent) to track enrollment, attendance, and program outcomes.
Communication & Partnership Development:
Demonstrate effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders, including students, families, school staff, and organizational leadership.
Build and sustain collaborative relationships with school partners to align after-school programming with school-day priorities. Present program updates, data, and outcomes in a clear and professional manner to internal and external audiences.
Operational & Administrative Competency:
Manage multiple program components, schedules, and funding streams while maintaining organization and attention to detail. Complete administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, payroll oversight, compliance documentation, and reporting. Demonstrate adaptability in managing programs across varying schedules, including before school, after school, and non-instructional days.
Professional Growth & Reflective Practice:
Engage in ongoing self-assessment to identify strengths and areas for professional growth in leadership and program management. Integrat academic learning with practical experience in expanded learning environments.Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and ethical decision-making aligned with organizational values and mission (“changing the odds for kids”).
Supervision & Human Capital Development:
Apply foundational human resource practices, including onboarding, training, performance feedback, and conflict resolution. Foster a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and staff retention. Evaluate staff performance and contribute to continuous improvement through coaching and development.
