JAKKS is currently seeking applications for 2026 summer interns in the following field:
• Graphic Design
Paid internships are available at our corporate headquarters in Santa Monica. These internships will provide hands-on experience and the chance to get involved, contribute, and genuinely experience being part of a great team. Program Dates are between May 1–August 30, 2026. Although the amount of weeks spent during the internship is flexible, we do suggest a minimum of 6 weeks.
The internship program is a very involved and interactive process in which interns not only learn and contribute, they learn to network, adapt to a working environment, learn interviewing and job search skills and of course, Have Fun!
To be successful as a JAKKS summer intern, you should have a desire for continuous improvement and take the initiative in your personal development and job responsibilities.
Information & Requirements:
• All internships are onsite Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
• Interns can work a range of hours (between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.) up to a maximum of 40 hours/week
• Undergraduate student in an accredited college/university, with the option to receive school credit (if offered) in addition to pay.
• High School Students who are interested (or in the process) in applying to colleges, universities and trade schools
• Positive, “can-do” attitude
• Interest in function/discipline applied for
• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Off Site Tours of JAKKS Facilities
• Meet & Greets
• Weekly Breakfast
• Rotating Departments
• And so much more!
Tasks:
Intern will meet with supervisor to go over overall goal of the internship and to be able to assess design capabilities. Based on this the intern will be assigned a project to assist the department with that reflects his talents within graphic design. He will be apart of team meetings that include meetings with the licensing agreement in order to see updates on assigned project.
Training:
- General Employer Orientation: introduction to the company, along with clocking in instructions and tour of the facility.
- Weekly intern catch ups where he can discuss how he is enjoying the internship so far or if he has any concerns that need addressing.
-Team meetings where discussion of where deadlines and task are at. If any new project are assigned.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and internal and external customers.
The student will be able to prepare control drawings and manage and communicate with vendors refarding the manufacturing of the design.
The student will be able to address any design issues regarding color, artwork, materials and features with vendor.
