Opportunity Summary 

As the Digital & Social Media Intern, the intern will support VMG’s digital presence across social platforms by assisting with content planning, execution, and day-to-day social media operations. This role is focused on consistency, organization, and brand-aligned storytelling across VMG and artist platforms.T

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Social Media Operations & Content Execution ● Assist with the planning and execution of social media content across VMG and affiliated artist platforms. ● Support the development and maintenance of weekly content calendars, ensuring timely posting and consistency. ● Draft captions and copy aligned with VMG’s brand voice and artist narratives. ● Organize and maintain digital assets, including photos, videos, and content files, to support efficient posting workflows. ● Support content capture during events, sessions, or live moments as needed. Digital Engagement & Performance Support ● Assist with monitoring post performance and identifying engagement trends. ● Support the collection and organization of social media analytics to inform future content planning. ● Help identify content gaps and opportunities to improve audience engagement. ● Stay informed on social media trends and platform updates relevant to music and culture. Coordination & Administrative Support ● Coordinate with the Creative Operations team to ensure content timelines and deliverables are met. ● Assist with cross-functional communication related to digital content needs. ● Support documentation of content plans, post recaps, and workflow updates as assigned.

Opportunity Training 

Students will participate in an onboarding and training process designed to familiarize them with company workflows, communication expectations, project management systems, and day-to-day responsibilities. Initial training will include an overview of organizational operations, administrative procedures, event coordination processes, and brand/project expectations relevant to their role. Students will receive hands-on training in areas such as professional communication, scheduling and calendar management, research, creative development support, project coordination, and collaborative workflow systems. Depending on the nature of assigned projects, students may also receive exposure to presentation development, marketing strategy, live event operations, and industry-standard digital tools/platforms. Training will take place during the first 1–2 weeks of the internship, with continued mentorship and guidance integrated throughout the experience to support ongoing learning and development.
