Farm Labor Internship

The intern will work under the supervision of a field supervisor to observe how daily farm operations are organized and managed.  This internship will provide hands-on experience in a commercial farm environment, with an emphasis on management, organization, and communication.  The goal of this internship will be to develop practical skills that can be applied in the agriculatural industry.

Duties and responsibilities

• Shadow the field supervisor during daily field operations and crew management activities
• Observe how labor tasks are assigned and coordinated to meet production goals
• Assist with tasks including harvesting, planting, pruning, grafting, irrigation, and general ranch maintenance
• Learn communication practices between supervisors, workers, ranchers, and management personnel
• Participate in daily ranch activities to gain practical experience in agricultural operations and labor management
