Opportunity Summary 

The Human Resources Assistant Intern provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department. This internship offers hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, training coordination, employee engagement, and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and interested in developing a career in Human Resources.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

By the end of the internship, students will have developed foundational knowledge and practical experience in Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, HR compliance, and workplace professionalism. Students will strengthen their organizational, communication, and customer service skills while gaining experience with Microsoft Office applications, HR information systems (HRIS), and administrative processes. Additionally, they will learn the importance of confidentiality, attention to detail, problem-solving, and professional collaboration within a corporate environment. These skills will help prepare students for future careers in Human Resources, Business Administration, and related fields.

Opportunity Training 

Students will receive hands-on training and mentorship from Human Resources professionals throughout the internship. Training will include an introduction to HR fundamentals, company policies and procedures, workplace professionalism, confidentiality requirements, and employment law basics. Students will also be trained on recruitment processes, onboarding procedures, employee file management, document retention practices, and the use of HR systems and Microsoft Office applications. Additional training will be provided on effective communication, customer service, time management, data entry accuracy, and administrative best practices. Ongoing coaching, feedback, and guidance will be provided to ensure students develop the skills and confidence needed to successfully perform their assigned responsibilities
